No New Posts River Bank

Children have played on these muddy shores for generations, ominously partaking in clay fights and mud wars. The waters are unhealthy to drink, yet swimming in them will cause no harm, and the gently current is almost always warm.

No New Posts Alley

The small black building has seen better days, yet old and stringy men keep the inside and outside as trimmed and proper as their joints allow. A faint smell of old style cologne and preserving chemicals wafts from the black curtained windows, and beautiful, yet somber music plays in the entryway.

No New Posts Sunnyburrow Orphanage

This quaint but shabby building has yellow and grubby windows, but is internally as clean as the old juice stained floors will allow. A sweet set of nuns runs this orphanage, and though it is usually over packed with unwanted and lost children, a newcomer is never turned away. The saddest result is that most children who end up here are never adopted out.

No New Posts Grocery Store

The average grocery store. Though shabby and mild looking it’s surprisingly clean, and it’s obvious the elderly owners care more about the state of their shop than one would think. Just about everything can be purchased here: from food to cleaning supplies, to babies’ clothes and pet toys.

No New Posts Appartments

These leaning apartments seem so unstable that the entire building might collapse on itself within days. The windows are brown and bent--if not broken altogether. The concrete between floors is dotted with chewing gum and all the lights have either gone out or blink feebly between gusts of wind. The place has seemingly never been cleaned, and the locks on the maroon doors can hardly shield out the crime that passes through this place.

No New Posts Nightlight-Nightlife

The exterior of this building resembles a rain beaten log, yet the interior is surprisingly well kept (aside from the atrocious lavatories). Of the two levels, the first is dedicated to a well stocked bar and a karaoke machine; the second is split into two rooms, the left one being a rave room and a drug user's heaven, and the right being an abandoned dance floor covered in scattered trash and broken beer bottles. The roof has been cleared and speakers and tables surround a semi-well lit dancefloor. The entire place vibrates with noise on weekend nights.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
Poor District
The buildings and people are both hardly as proper as the stigma of London suggests, and crime and drug abuse is common in these parts. The air smells of urine and road kill, and aside from the horrible shape of the lean-to shacks and old plaster and brick buildings, it’s a rather well formed area of the city. Wild dogs and feral cats can be found at the end of the numerous allies, and the sound of trash being raided is commonplace.
